Lesson 4: The Flood

What is the principle of "First Mention"? This lesson will take a closer look at how the context provided by the "first mention" of themes found in Genesis will shape our understanding as the same themes are repeated throughout the Bible.

This week's lesson will address some of the big-picture principles of studying biblical prophecy. Does God face any challenges in revealing prophecy? Why does God use symbols? We will also look at His use of prophets, and Jesus as the center of divine revelation.

The law is a revelation of God's loving character. This lesson will explore how God's plan of salvation affirms the law. How do we live in harmony with God's law of love?

This lesson looks at the two greatest commandments and how they relate to demonstrating love and justice in our lives. How does the first command help us with the second command? Are there greatest sins? How does God call us to care for the oppressed?
